About me

All you ever wanted to know about DJ CS Wallace but were afraid to ask...

Well, where do I start? My name is Craig S Wallace - although everyone knows me as Wal

...and I love Music.  Obsessively.  Worryingly obsessively.

I’m one of those people that find it difficult to walk past a charity shop - just in case there’s a chance of finding an old, unsung, unheard of, rare disco gem 12” nestling between the Jim Reeves and Dollar LP’s. From as far back as I can remember, I have sought, bought, played, and lovingly read the covers (and labels) of all the vinyl, CD’s and cassettes that I own.  I've run a record label, produced club nights, been in bands, seen many gigs by bands that most people would have never have heard of, been to the biggest, and the smallest, of clubs – as a clubber, and as a DJ.  I've produced music, sampled records, made my own tape-to-tape remixes before I even knew what a remix was, DJ'd at festivals, had my own radio mix shows, collaborated with vocalists, completed re-edits, produced countless ‘DJ’ mixes, promoted friends club nights in the middle of winter, worked the lights, hung the décor, etc.  etc.  If you’re following this, you’ll understand that music is a big part of my life.

What I’d like to do is to share my love of music with you. I’m inspired by Soul, House, Disco, Funk, Latin, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Edits, Breaks, DnB and many other genres, artists and DJ’s.  You could consider me an aficionado of quality music. I’ve been spinning discs since 1989 and have an eclectic taste – after all, good music is good music, whatever the style.

Me, live.

Here you’ll find shed loads of my DJ Mixes – all available as a FREE promotional download. I’m not in this for the money, just for the love of music.

Enjoy.

Wal
