Wal's Black Science Orchestra
I discovered Ashley Beedle's fantastic Black Science Orchestra by chance when I stumbled across the 12" of 'Where Were You' sometime in the early 90's - I used to buy loads of Junior Boys Own stuff - and I spent many hours spinning their records and remixes. Listening to them today, I still discover new sounds and depth in their music - and they still sound so fresh. 'Heavy Gospel Morning' and 'Emancipation' were, and still are, absolute classics. Here's pretty much a tribute mix of mine of them, choc full of disco, soul and rare groove infused house music for a group that finished recording in 2000-ish. Enjoy, Wal. Oct 2020.
